I don't care much - Cabaret -- Alan Cumming

- Alan Cumming- A poco no canta maravilloso. Doesn't he sings wonderful?
Not sure. This over dramatised version takes it far from the central message of Bob Fossi 's Cabaret. Evil hides under the ordinary life.
aww
history / forever
Good stuff. Who played Rosie?
Phenomenal. 😢
Sorry but Joel and Liza together is irreplaceable. There's no one like them
I love him as the Emcee, scottish legend
It weird when I remember this same guy was in spy kids 😐
These look like the people I went to high school with.
Fabulous performance by Alan Cummings. Realistic performance. The times were ugly, corrupt. This was supposed to be an enjoyable place for the Nazis to relax. It was ugly and vulgar as were the Nazis ❗❗❗
I need him
I’d watch anything that included Alan Cumming but his Emcee is beyond a brilliant performance. His allure and charisma always leaves me wanting more.
Love Alan Cummings. Fabulous actor and intelligent person ❤❤❤
If you could see her through my eyes, she wouldn’t look Palestinian at all
Go away
honestly this song is so relevant to right now with palestine, everyone’s against them.
@@user-mv5xh3zf1v The whole point of cabaret is to be aware of the rise of Fascism and Genocide, dipshit.
@@user-mv5xh3zf1v You didn’t understand the purpose of the musical did you ? 🤡🤡🤡
I love the way in which his Emcee says “she wouldn’t look jewish at all” with such disdain - it’s almost like the one moment that the Emcee is unwilling to succumb to the Nazi ideology even though he has to perform this piece which would clearly have passed censorship and even would’ve been promoted at the time. Incredible choice.
Best Version as it is dark, it is provocative and Alan is PERFECT in this roll. I would LOVE a full version of THIS Cabaret.
Victor looks distinctly unhappy. 😄
When did this video come out?
This camera makes their faces looked fucked
Wow. I needed to see that again. I saw the 1998 production and it changed my life. I just saw Alan Cumming recently do a great show a few weeks ago. He is amazing.
I am in love with Alan Cummings.
Everything about Alan Cumming is compelling. It is so over the top you want to look away, but you can't. I would so love to see a movie of this cast's whole performance. Cumming is absolute genius.
If you search UA-cam there is the entire performance and it brilliant and heartbreaking.
How can you be the Emcee in Cabaret and not be able to dance or even move on a stage without it looking awkward? Sorry the Emcee is supposed to able to tap dance on top of performing other dance disciplines
He's having so much fun and he's just a joy to watch. He's by far my favorite Emcee, all due respect to Joel Grey
Fabulous stage show. Of course, I know the film and the book, but I felt that the film did not want to show the reality. The book ends with the hero, leaving Germany . What an ending
I saw this production. It was breathtaking. Just watching it gives me goosebumps all over again. Alan Cumming was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
The real kit kat club was even more sexual and cocaine was pennies a gram and legal as morphine. Until Hitler and Nixon.
Well the Jews aren't very favoured anymore anymore since the war is happening. Apparently everyones calling them a Zionist these days. Not that I do (I live in a country where neither matters) but its something to watch. The humanitarians turning around.
He looks like a decaying body. Its great.
Bob Fosse would approve.
Vote blue
Alan Cumming is incredible and so was Joel Grey. They are both incredible performances and completely different!
What the fuck is this quality tho fr bro 😂
My Uncle Frank was in Berlin all during WWII. I asked him what was it like. He said “ I was good looking, it was very decadent- I wish I had kept a journal.”
Why no one has thought of producing a DVD of this musical with Alan?
Hola.
I feel so ripped off by Schitt’s Creek not showing this full number in production. But Alan Cumming is even better! Love his performance of Caberet
Does anybody remember who played the Emcee when Molly Ringwald was at Studio 54? Was it Cummings?
Dear God, he is sex on legs.
Ok. So I never would have thought anyone could equal Joel Grey. But I came across this a couple of weeks ago and now I'm watching all Alan clips as Emcee. I see why he was loved for this role. At this point, I feel that they both made the role their own and they both did a GREAT job.
Does anyone have this particular “slime tutorial”?
❤❤❤супер!
wow!
That ending with the striped pjs is GUTTING
There are some actors who simply own a part. Of course others come along and play it, but you still think "Oh, how I wish I had seen..." Zero Mostel as Tevye. Yul Brynner as The King. And you'd think of Joel Grey as the Emcee - except that Alan Cumming took it and made it HIS. Breathtaking.
He did this role for... 21 years? Off and on. That's amazing, nobody's come close to his rendition of Emcee. He was amazing.
Need him biblically
Esa es la enferma mental de maria isabel martinez
Vulgar? No, sinister. Unless you think Nazi Germany is only vulgar.
Alan is my favorite Emcee. Absolutely delicious and extremely talented
Absolutely mesmerizing. Born to play this role. Also a wonderfully sweet and humble man.
